Academic Partnerships
Our Academic College Partners play a crucial role in providing asthma self-management education to children across New York State. Through this partnership with the Lung Association, college students are trained as facilitators to deliver this education in schools or other youth-focused organizations. Becoming a facilitator provides college students with a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to their community and acquire community and population health skills. Ultimately, facilitators gain a better understanding of the larger asthma education framework and the importance of guidelines-based asthma care.
